We had an amazing
temple activity, where every missionary in the mission came and
brought
investigators, and the guy that was our first baptism spoke at it!
He
was awesome.

These are all the
people baptized Saturday
from our District! There were a total of 6.
|
We had two baptisms Saturday and I had the opportunity to baptize someone! This guy was so ready. He is one of the escogidos that we are always told to look for. I don’t know if I already told you this, but he contacted us in the street about our 4th week here and asked how he could become a member of our church. Because we couldn’t find members and other reasons, we didn´t start teaching him until about a couple weeks ago! We gave him a couple folletos before and he ate them up. He practically memorized the Restauracion and repeated it back to us! We taught him nearly every lesson and commandment within a week. He has turned his life around and he even wants to go on a mission!
We also had another guy that was baptized. His cousin, who is a returned missionary,
has been doing work for us! She introduced him to us and practically
taught him all the lessons before we got there, and we have a new family in the
works from her!
The
members are really, like that awesome broadcast talked about, the only way that
missionaries can teach. Always, always give references to missionaries,
and then go with them to the lesson or (even better) let them teach in your
home!! Missionaries can´t do it alone. Hey dad, do you have any
cool analogies or cool stories or object lessons you used when you taught_
I love using them.
